Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride 0.5% (5 mg/mL) is a fourth-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic ophthalmic solution used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis and other external ocular bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase, killing bacteria responsible for symptoms like red, itchy, or sore eyes.
