Sodium Chloride 6% (w/w) Eye Ointment is a sterile, hypertonic ophthalmic preparation used to treat corneal edema (swelling) by drawing excess fluid out of the cornea. It relieves eye discomfort, irritation, and hazy vision caused by fluid retention. It is generally applied to the lower eyelid.
Treating swelling of the cornea of the eye
- This medicine is for external use only.
- Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor.
- Check the label for directions before use.
- Hold the tube close to the eye without touching it.
- Gently squeeze the tube and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid.
