Chloramphenicol + Hydrocortisone is a combination of two medicines: Chloramphenicol and Hydrocortisone. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic that stops bacterial growth by inhibiting the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Hydrocortisone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause redness, swelling, and itching after an allergy or infection.
