Product Information
Gabatag-A 300 Tablets is indicated for the management of neuropathic pain. Neuropathic pain is a chronic progressive nerve disease which causes nerve pain due to damaged sensory nerves. Symptoms include spontaneous, untriggered pain, unpleasant feeling, shooting, burning or stabbing pain, difficulty resting or sleeping, and evoked pain (pain caused by events usually not painful).
- Diabetic Neuropathy
- Postherpetic Neuralgia
- Drug induced Neuropathy
- Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor.
- Swallow it as a whole.
- Do not chew, crush or break it.
Gabapentin is an alpha 2 delta ligand which decreases the pain by modulating calcium channel activity of the nerve cells. Nortriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant which increases the levels of chemical messengers (serotonin and noradrenaline) that stop the movement of pain signals in the brain.
