Mechanism of Action :
Prucalopride is a selective 5-HT4 receptor agonist that has high intrinsic activity. It indirectly stimulates the release of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger that increases the motility of the intestine and treats even chronic (long-term) constipation very effectively.
