Mechanism of Action :
Ritodrine belongs to a class of medications called uterine relaxants. It is a tocolytic agent which prevents preterm labor by suppressing uterine contractions. It works by improving blood flow to the smooth muscles of the uterus. This effect helps to decrease the intensity and frequency of uterine contractions, thereby delaying labor.
