This medicine effectively treats bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, lungs, skin, soft tissues, bones, joints, and urinary tract in children. It is also given to prevent infection in animal and human bite wounds and may also be given before surgical procedures as a preventive therapy.
Bacterial infections
- Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor.
- Swallow it as a whole.
- Do not chew, crush or break it.
It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is essential for the survival of the bacteria. By doing so, this medicine stops the infection-causing bacteria from growing further and prevents the infection from spreading without making them resistant to further treatment.
