Magnesium Hydroxide is a fast-acting antacid that neutralizes excess gastric acid by reacting with hydrochloric acid in the stomach, forming magnesium chloride and water. This action helps reduce stomach acidity and provides rapid relief from discomfort. It also has a mild laxative effect, promoting bowel movements.
Dried Aluminium Hydroxide is a slower-acting but longer-lasting antacid. It neutralizes stomach acid by forming aluminium chloride and water upon reaction with gastric hydrochloric acid. Its constipating effect helps counterbalance the laxative property of magnesium hydroxide, making the combination more tolerable.
Dimethicone is a surface-active agent (antiflatulent) that works by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles in the gastrointestinal tract. This allows gas bubbles to combine and be expelled more easily, thereby reducing bloating, discomfort, and flatulence.
Together, these ingredients provide effective and balanced relief from gastric acidity and gas-related symptoms
